Die höchste Erhebung der lettischen Region Latgale und dritthöchster Berg Lettlands ist mit 289 m der Liepukalns. Ein Wanderweg führt von unserem Stellplatz dort hin. Auf dem Gipfel steht ein Aussichtsturm. Immerhin ist der nochmal 34 m hoch und eine beachtliche Holz-Konstruktion. Und vom Turm haben wir eine herrliche Übersicht über den umgebenden Rāzna Nationalpark (Rāznas nacionalais parks) bis zum See Rāzna ezers.
High up The highest point in the Latgale region and the third highest mountain in Latvia is the Liepukalns at 289 m. A hiking trail leads there from our pitch. There is an observation tower on the summit. After all, it is another 34 m high and a remarkable wooden construction. And from the tower we have a wonderful overview of the surrounding Rāzna National Park (Rāznas nacionalais parks) up to Lake Rāzna ezers.
