Wenige hundert Meter von Merkinė entfernt liegt im Dzūkijas nacionalisis parkas an einem See am Waldrand ein einfacher aber idyllischer Zeltplatz. Überdachte Picknickplätze, einfache Trockenklos, Feuerstellen, Mülltonne und der Steg zum See sind die gesamte Infrastruktur. Aber der Platz wird offensichtlich gut genutzt. Wir machen eine kurze Wanderung durch den Wald, aber der markierte Weg ist teilweise zugewachsen. Also kehren wir zurück und frühstücken die unterwegs gepflückten Walderdbeeren, zusammen mit den am Vortag gesammelten Blaubeeren.
In the Dzūkijas National Park A few hundred meters from Merkinė in the Dzūkijas nacionalisis parkas at a lake at the edge of the forest is a simple but idyllic campsite. Covered picnic areas, simple dry toilets, fire pits, garbage can and the jetty to the lake are the entire infrastructure. But the space is obviously being used well. We take a short hike through the forest, but the marked trail is partially overgrown. So we come back and have breakfast with the wild strawberries picked along the way, together with the blueberries we picked the day before.
