In der Nähe des kleinen Ortes Kastna, westlich von Pärnu, stehen in einer malerischen Küstenlandschaft drei uralte Eichen. Die erste, mit abgebrochenem Ast, steht unmittelbar an der angebenen Stelle.
Near the small village of Kastna, west of Pärnu, three ancient oaks stand in a picturesque coastal landscape. The first, with the branch broken off, is directly at the place indicated.
Ein paar Meter daneben steht ein Aussichtsturm. Ein französisches Wohnmobil ist schon hier, das reicht für den kleinen Platz. Wir werden also einen anderen Stellplatz für die Nacht suchen. Die zweite Eiche ist vom Turm aus leicht zu finden. Nach einer kleinen Wanderung entlang des Feldwegs zwischen Wacholderbüschen und Wildblumen entdecke ich die dritte Eiche auch in einiger Entfernung bei einem Hof.
There is a lookout tower a few meters away. A French motorhome is already here, that’s enough for the small space. So we will look for another pitch for the night. The second oak is easy to find from the tower. After a short hike along the field path between juniper bushes and wildflowers, I discover the third oak some distance away by a farm.
