Estland ist zwar ein relativ kleines Land, hat aber eine lange Küstenlinie. Hinzu kommen die Inseln. Daher stehen in Estland sehr viele Leuchttürme. Auf Saaremaa, der größten Insel Estlands, fahren wir auf verschlungenen Feld- und Waldwegen zum Ende eines der Insel-Zipfel. Hier steht zwischen Ruinen und altem Brunnen der schwarzweiße Leuchtturm Kübassaare. Die umgebenden Weiden an der Ostsee sind übersät mit Findlingen. Eine kleine Bucht im Schilf wird als Booteinsetzstelle genutzt.
Estonia is a relatively small country, but it has a long coastline. Then there are the islands. Therefore there are a lot of lighthouses in Estonia. On Saaremaa, the largest island in Estonia, we drive on winding field and forest roads to the end of one of the island tips. The black and white lighthouse Kübassaare stands between ruins and an old well. The surrounding pastures at the Baltic Sea are strewn with boulders. A small bay in the reeds is used as a boat launch.
