Das Fischerstädtchen Plockton am Loch Carron (südliche schottische Westküste) gilt als einer der idyllischsten Orte an Schottlands Küsten. Aber es ist nicht nur die schmucke Häuserzeile gegenüber der Meeresbucht Loch Carron, die den Ort besonders macht. Hinzu kommen ausgesprochen üppige Blumengärten auf der anderen Straßenseite mit subtropischen Blumen und Yukka-Palmen. Offenbar ermöglicht der Golfstrom diese Vegetation.

The fishing village Plockton at Loch Carron (southern Scottish west coast) is considered one of the most idyllic places on Scotland’s coasts. But it is not just the neat row of houses opposite the bay Loch Carron, which makes the place special. In addition, there are notedly lush flower gardens on the other side of the road with subtropical flowers and Yukka palm trees. Apparently, the Gulf Stream allows this vegetation.
