Von Ugíjar, in den Alpujarras, führt eine Straße über die Sierra Nevada. Die Aussicht etwas unterhalb der Passhöhe von 2.040 m ist großartig, sowohl auf die schneebedeckten Gipfel im Westen, als auch auf die Windräder-Farm im Norden. Am nördlichen Fuß des Bergrückens liegt La Calahorra mit maurischer Burg darüber.

From Ugíjar, in the Alpujarras, a road leads over the Sierra Nevada. The view just below the pass at 2,040m is great, with both the snow-capped peaks to the west and the windmill farm to the north. At the northern foot of the ridge lies La Calahorra with Moorish castle above.
