Überraschung! Nach etwa der Hälfte des Rundwanderweges, den wir in der Kühkopf-Knoblochsaue gehen, treten wir aus dem dschungelartigen Wald heraus. Die andere Hälfte des Weges ist eine lange Apfelallee. Viele alte Apfelbäume säumen links und rechts den Weg. Auf einer Informationstafel mit dem Titel „Der essbare Schatz“ lesen wir: „Auf dem Kühkopf wachsen mehrere Tausend Obstbäume, darunter viele, die man sonst kaum mehr findet.“
Edible treasure
Surprise! After about half of the circular hiking trail that we take in the Kühkopf-Knoblochsaue, we step out of the jungle-like wood. The other half of the way is a long Apple alley. Many old apple trees line the path to the left and right. On an information board with the title „The edible treasure“ we read: „Several thousand fruit trees grow on the Kühkopf, including many that are otherwise hard to find.“
