Am Ende der Straße hinter Port de Grave an der Conception Bay liegt das kleine Fischerdorf Hibb‘s Cove. Hier scheint die Zeit stehen geblieben zu sein.
At the end of the road behind Port de Grave at Conception Bay lies the small fishing village of Hibb’s Cove. Time seems to be standing still here.
Noch hinter Hibb‘s Cove soll der kleine Leuchtturm „Green Point“ stehen. Wir versuchen eine andere Straße, die oberhalb des Ortes in eine üble Jeep-Piste übergeht. Nach wenigen hundert Metern kapitulieren wir vor einer unergründlich großen Pfütze, die den Weg ausfüllt. Das Wohnmobil wird am Rand der Piste in einer Schneise des Moors geparkt und wir wandern die restlichen 700 Meter zu Leuchtturm.
Even past Hibb’s Cove the small lighthouse „Green Point“ is considered to stand. We try another road, which passes above the place in an awfull jeep track. After a few hundred meters, we capitulate in front of an unfathomably large puddle that fills the way. The motorhome is parked at the edge of the track in a swath of the moors and we walk the remaining 700 meters to Lighthouse.
