In unserer Straßenkarte hat der Herumkommer in Coquimbo einen Leuchtturm entdeckt. Den wollen wir sehen. Kurz vor dem Ziel müssen wir erkennen, dass der Turm unzugänglich auf einem Gelände der Armada de Chile steht. Pech gehabt. Aber in der Nachbarstadt La Serena steht auch einer, der muss es jetzt bringen. Schon aus der Ferne sehen wir, dass dies ein besonders repräsentatives Gebäude ist. Dieser Leuchtturm muss in die Sammlung des Herumkommers. Aber er steht mitten auf dem Badestrand der Stadt. Dort ist Hochbetrieb. Alle Parkplätze sind selbstverständlich belegt. Wir drehen ein paar Runden, bis wir in einiger Entfernung vom Leuchtturm parken können.
La Serena Lighthouse
In our road map, the Aroundgetter has discovered a lighthouse in Coquimbo. We want to see it. Shortly before we reach our destination, we realise that the lighthouse is located inaccessibly on the grounds of the Armada de Chile. Bad luck. But there is also one in the neighbouring town of La Serena, so it has to do. Even from a distance we can see that this is a particularly representative building. This lighthouse has to go into the collection of the Aroundgetter. But it stands in the middle of the city’s bathing beach. It is very busy there. All the parking spaces are taken, of course. We do a few laps until we can park at some distance from the lighthouse.
