Dubrovnik von oben
Nach zehn Tagen Montenegro-Rundreise sind wir zurück im Süden von Kroatien und fahren nach Dubrovnik. Dort gibt es eine Seilbahn, die von der Stadt aus auf den Berg fährt, der sie überragt. Laut unserer Straßenkarte führt eine Straße zur Bergstation der Bahn. Die Straße ist schmal und sehr steil, mit extremen Serpentinen. Danach führt sie durch einen Wald, in dem die Pinien so dicht an der Fahrbahn stehen, dass unser Womo gerade hindurch passt. Schließlich fahren wir noch durch einen engen Durchlass einer alten Natursteinmauer und auf einem sehr holprigen Weg am Abgrund entlang. Aber dann ist der Ausblick grandios.
Dubrovnik from above After ten days of Montenegro tour we are back in the south of Croatia and drive to Dubrovnik. There is a cable car that goes from the city to the mountain that towers above it. According to our road map, a road leads to the mountain station of the railway. The road is narrow and very steep, with extreme hairpin bends. Then it leads through a forest in which the pine trees are so close to the road that our camper just fits through. Finally, we drive through a narrow passage of an old natural stone wall and along a very bumpy path along the precipice. But then the view is terrific.
