Der Leuchtturm Farol do Penedo da Saudade steht bei São Pedro de Moel direkt an der Ausfallstraße nach Norden. An der gegenüber liegenden Straßenseite erstreckt sich ein landschaftliches Idyll aus zweiter Hand. Hier hat es vor längerer Zeit gebrannt. Überall verstreut liegen verkohlte Äste. Dazwischen haben sich vielfarbige Bodendecker ausgebreitet. Das wirkt trotz der Brandspuren ganz harmonisch.
The Farol do Penedo da Saudade lighthouse stands near São Pedro de Moel directly on the arterial road to the north. On the opposite side of the road is a second-hand idyllic landscape. There was a fire here a long time ago. Charred branches are scattered everywhere. Multicoloured ground cover has spread between them. Despite the traces of fire, it looks quite harmonious.

Der Leuchtturm ist nach der Felsklippe benannt, auf der er steht. Dort ist alles andere als Harmonie. Der Atlantik tost gegen die Felsküste. Die dicke, dunkle Schauerwolke, die immer näher kommt, ignorieren wir beim Fotografieren. Bis der Regen einsetzt. Als wir unser Wohnmobil erreichen, sind wir bis auf die Haut durchnässt. Aber für diese Bilder hat es sich gelohnt.
The lighthouse is named after the cliff on which it stands. There is anything but harmony there. The Atlantic roars against the rocky coast. We ignore the thick, dark shower cloud that comes closer and closer while taking photos. Until the rain starts. By the time we reach our camper van, we are soaked to the skin. But it was worth it for these pictures.
