Östlich von Reykjahlið am Mývatn liegt an der Ringstraße ein kleiner See. Er scheint mit Blaubeermilch gefüllt zu sein, die manchmal dampft. Es ist das Abwasserbecken des Geothermalkraftwerks Bjarnaflagsstöð. Jedes Mal, wenn wir hier lang fahren, fasziniert uns die Farbe des Wassers, die von türkis bis milchig blau reicht.

East of of Reykjahlið at Mývatn there is a small lake along the ring road. It seems to be filled with blueberry milk that sometimes steams. It is the waste water basin of the Bjarnaflagsstöð geothermal power station. Every time we pass here the colour of the water fascinates us reaching from turquoise to milky blue.
