In Rossatzbach, neben dem Campingplatz, führt eine Rampe in die Donau, für die Fahrrad-Fähre. Im Spätherbst verkehrt sie nicht und der Campingplatz ist geschlossen. Aber die Aussicht nach Gegenüber, auf Dürnstein, ist ganzjährig möglich. Stift Dürnstein mit dem blauen Turm gilt als Wahrzeichen der Wachau. Zusammen mit der Ruine der Felsenburg oberhalb des Ortes ist die Aussicht besonders pittoresk. Bei unserem Eintreffen wabert noch etwas Nebel, ein vorbei fahrendes Schiff sorgt für Wellen im Fluss. Während wir frühstücken, kommt die Sonne heraus.

At Rossatzbach, next to the campsite, a ramp leads into the Danube, for the bicycle ferry. It does not operate in late autumn and the campsite is closed. But the view to the opposite side, to Dürnstein, is possible all year round. Dürnstein Abbey with its blue tower is considered the landmark of the Wachau. Together with the ruins of the rock castle above the village, the view is particularly picturesque. When we arrive, there is still a bit of fog, a passing ship causes waves in the river. While we are having breakfast, the sun comes out.
