Außer Scharen von Touristen sind auffällig viele junge Malerinnen und Maler in Hongcun. Es sind Kunststudenten, die das „bewohnte Gemälde“ (ab)malen. Beim Fotografieren kommt Frau Rumkommer mit ihrer Professorin ins Gespräch. Die jungen Leute, viele in schrillem Outfit, bilden einen erfrischenden Kontrast zu dem mittelalterlichen Dorf.

Besides the crowds of tourists there are strikingly many young painters in Hongcun. They are art students who paint the „inhabited painting„. When photographing, Mrs. Roundgetter comes into contact with their professor. The young people, many in a shrill outfit, form a refreshing contrast to the medieval village.
