Im Weinberg
Eine der letzten Stationen auf unserer Frankreich-Rundfahrt im letzten Frühling war die Domaine Bollenberg bei Westhalten im Elsass (frz. Alsace). Der gute Stellplatz in erhabener Lage und das unglaublich preiswerte, dabei aber auserlesene Menü im Restaurant sind uns unvergessen. Daher haben wir jetzt auf der Anreise nach Katalonien (Ost-Spanien) wieder bei Bollenberg Station gemacht. Das Restaurant wird neu gestrichen und erst am 4. Februar wieder geöffnet. Schade. Aber der Stellplatz (gelistet nicht nur bei France Passion, sondern auch in anderen Stellplatzführern) ist nach wie vor Top.
Der Weinkeller ist geöffnet. Ein Karton mit dem erstaunlich fruchtigen 2013er Pinot Noir in Bio-Qualität muss mit. Und dann werden wir gebeten, den 2013er Muscat zu probieren. Bei Muskat denken wir an süß (lieblich) und schwer. Aber dieser Muscat ist trocken und dabei unglaublich fruchtig. Also müssen davon auch zwei Flaschen mit.
Am Abend genießen wir wieder die Aussicht von hoch oben. Und am folgenden Morgen machen wir einen Ausflug in den Weinberg, der jetzt auf die nächste Vegetationsperiode vorbereitet wird, während die Gipfel der Vogesen kleine Schneekappen tragen.
In the vineyard
One of the last stops on our tour of France last spring was Domaine Bollenberg near Westhalten in Alsace. The good location in a sublime location and the incredibly inexpensive, but exquisite menu in the restaurant are unforgotten. Therefore, we have now made station again at Bollenberg on the journey to Catalonia (Eastern Spain). The restaurant is being repainted and will reopen on the 4th of February. Too bad. But the pitch (listed not only at France Passion, but also in other pitch directories) is still top.
The wine cellar is open. A box with the amazingly fruity 2013 Pinot Noir in organic quality must come with us. And then we are asked to try the 2013 Muscat. With Muskat, we think of sweet (lovely) and heavy. But this Muscat is dry and incredibly fruity. So we got to have two bottles of it.
In the evening we enjoy again the view from high above. And the following morning we make an excursion to the vineyard, which is now prepared for the next growing season, while the peaks of the Vosges carry small snow caps.
