Nördlich von Villa Amengual verlassen wir die Carretera Austral und fahren am Rio Cisnes entlang nach Puerto Cisnes am Meer. Nachdem wir uns bis vor Kurzem monatelang überwiegend in sehr trockenen, sehr kargen Regionen aufgehalten haben, sind wir überrascht von dem üppigen kalten Regenwald, der ihn umgibt. Und das türkis- bis smaragd-farbige, ansonsten kristallklare Wasser des Flusses fasziniert uns auch immer wieder.
North of Villa Amengual we leave the Carretera Austral and drive along the Rio Cisnes to Puerto Cisnes by the sea. After having stayed for months mainly in very dry, very barren regions until recently, we are surprised by the lush cold rainforest that surrounds it. And the turquoise to emerald-coloured, otherwise crystal-clear water of the river also continues to fascinate us.
