Bei Armacão de Pera, zwischen Albufeira im Osten und Portimão im Westen, steht auf einer schmalen, ins Meer ragenden Klippe eine kleine Kapelle aus dem 14. Jahrhundert mit pyramidenartigem Türmchen: Nossa Senhora da Rocha (Unsere liebe Frau vom Felsen). Die Klippe trennt zwei traumhafte Strände. Zwischen beiden gibt es im Fuß der Klippe einen kleinen Tunnel, so breit, dass sich zwei Menschen begegnen können; ein kurzes Stück muss man gebeugt gehen. Von der Kapelle sind im Osten jenseits des kurzen Strandes Praia Nova die Orte Armacão de Pera und Albufeira zu sehen.
Near Armacão de Pera, between Albufeira in the east and Portimão in the west, on a narrow cliff jutting into the sea, stands a small 14th century chapel with a pyramid-like tower: Nossa Senhora da Rocha (Our Lady of the Rock). The cliff separates two beautiful beaches. Between the two, at the foot of the cliff, there is a small tunnel, wide enough for two people to meet; you have to walk a short distance bent over. From the chapel, the towns of Armacão de Pera and Albufeira can be seen to the east beyond the short beach of Praia Nova.

Nach Westen erstreckt sich der erheblich längere Praia Senhora da Rocha. Auf der hinter dem Strand stehenden Klippe verläuft, abgesichert durch Holzbrüstungen, ein schöner Wanderweg mit herrlichen Ausblicken. Mitte Februar wird am Strand tatsächlich gesonnt und gebadet.
To the west is the considerably longer Praia Senhora da Rocha. On the cliff behind the beach, secured by wooden parapets, runs a beautiful hiking trail with magnificent views. In mid-February, people actually sunbathe and swim on the beach.
