In der Nacht hat ein seltsamer Sturm am Wohnmobil gerüttelt und gezerrt. Heftige Böen, offenbar von den Bergen herab auf die Ostküste Euböas hinaus, wechselten sich ab mit längeren fast windstillen Phasen. Dabei fiel die Außentemperatur nicht unter 21°C. Sobald die Sonne am Himmel ist, lässt der Sturm nach. Erst später, als wir durchs Gebirge fahren, wird es dort oben wieder windig. Aber zunächst haben wir den herrlichen Strand von Limnionas und die Felsenhöhle an seinem nördlichen Ende für uns allein.
Beach and mountains In the night a strange storm has shaken and torn on the motorhome. Violent gusts, obviously descending from the mountains out to the east coast of Euboea, alternated with longer, almost calm phases. Yet the outside temperature did not fall below 21°C. As soon as the sun is in the sky, the storm subsides. Later, as we pass through the mountains, it winds up again. But first we have the beautiful beach of Limnionas and the rock cave at its northern end for us alone.
