Tatsächlich sind es mehr als 1.700 Inseln und Inselchen im Ausfluss des Lake Ontario und im Oberlauf des St. Lorenz-Stroms. Dies ist Grenzregion, etwa zwei Drittel gehören zu Kanada, ein Drittel zum US-Staat New York. Viele sind bewohnt, manche tragen gerade mal ein paar Bäume. Einige sind kaum so groß, wie das Haus darauf.
In fact, there are more than 1,700 islands and islets in the outflow of Lake Ontario and in the upper reaches of St. Lawrence River. This is border region, about two thirds belong to Canada, one third to the US state of New York. Many are inhabited, some just bear a few trees. Some are barely as big as the house on it.
