Organic wine from Campagnatico The German Camper Guide for Tuscany includes a recommendation to buy Tuscan organic olive oil near Roccastrada. The previous day we tasted this excellent oil and bought a hopefully sufficient amount. It is from the new harvest and tastes, as it should be, slightly peppery.
Biowein fehlt noch. Dafür haben wir aus Fattore Amico die Adresse eines Weinguts bei Campagnatico, etwa 15 km nordöstlich von Grosseto. Der letzte Kilometer der Zufahrt zu Pierini&Brugi ist eine schwierige ‚Dirt Road‘. Aber die Anstrengung hat sich gelohnt. In dem hübschen toskanischen Haus präsentiert uns ein liebenswertes älteres Paar eine kleine Auswahl roter und weißer Bioweine, von denen jeweils nur ein paar tausend Flaschen abgefüllt wurden. Wir entscheiden uns für zwei Rote, und eine kleine Auswahl besonderer Marmeladen muss auch mit.
Organic wine is still missing. For this we have from Fattore Amico the address of a winery at Campagnatico, about 15 km northeast of Grosseto. The last kilometer of access to Pierini&Brugi is a difficult dirt road. But the effort was worth it. In the pretty Tuscan house, a likeable elderly couple presents us a small selection of red and white organic wines, of which only a few thousand bottles were bottled. We opt for two reds, and a small selection of special jams must also come with us.
