Voriges Jahr in Frankreich hatten wir sehr viel Freude mit ‚France Passion‘. Die entsprechenden Pendants für Großbritannien, ‚Brit Stops‘, und für Spanien, ‚españa discovery‘, reichten nicht daran heran, aber sie haben sich allemal amortisiert. Für die Italien-Durchreisen haben wir uns das entsprechende italienische ‚Fattore Amico‘ beschafft. Und gleich das erste Ziel ist ein Volltreffer.
Cantine Mucci, sehr versteckt in den Weinbergen der Abruzzen, südlich von Ortona, ist Weinkellerei und Olivenöl-Erzeuger mit drei kostenlosen Wohnmobilstellplätzen für eine Übernachtung. Die Menschen, die wir hier antreffen, sind sehr freundlich. Mit wenigen Brocken Italienisch, etwas Englisch und mit Händen und Füßen gelingt die wesentliche Kommunikation. Wir sind nicht nur zum Übernachten hier. Wein und Olivenöl wollen bevorratet werden. Und exzellentes Trinkwasser für den Frischwassertank wird uns angeboten.
Dann machen wir in der untergehenden Sonne einen kleinen Spaziergang durch die Felder. Uralte Olivenbäume beeindrucken uns. An den Weinreben hängen noch einzelne kleine Trauben, die vermutlich bei der Lese noch nicht reif waren. Jetzt sind sie herrlich süß und saftig. Das letzte Licht des Tages taucht die Landschaft in Pastellfarben.
Und nach der Rückkehr zum Womo schwelgen wir in frischem, noch pfeffrigem Olivenöl mit Ciabatta und Salinensalz, dazu trinken wir einen leckeren Montepulciano d‘Abruzzo.
Wine and oil from the Abruzzi
Last year in France, we had a lot of fun with ,France Passion’. The corresponding pendants for Great Britain, ‚Brit Stops‚, and for Spain, ‚españa discovery‘, did not come up, but they have amortized anyway. For the Italian transits we got the appropriate Italian ‚Fattore Amico‘. And the first destination is a perfect match.
Cantine Mucci, very hidden in the vineyards of the Abruzzi, south of Ortona, is a wine cellar and olive oil producer with three free motorhome sites for one night. The people we meet here are very friendly. With a few chunks Italian, some English and with hands and feet the essential communication succeeds. We have not only come to stay here. Wine and olive oil want to be stocked. And we are offered excellent drinking water for the fresh water tank.
Then we take a small walk through the fields in the setting sun. Ancient olive trees impress us. On the vines still hang some small grapes, which were probably not yet ripe during the harvest. Now they are gorgeous sweet and juicy. The last light of the day immerses the landscape in pastel colors.
And after the return to the camper we indulge in fresh, still peppery olive oil with ciabatta and saline salt, to which we drink a tasty Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.
