Auf unserer Reise durch den Süden der USA staunen wir immer wieder über uns unbekannte Vegetation. Nach den für uns exotischen Sümpfen in Georgia und Florida präsentiert sich Texas mit sehr trockenen Gebieten. In der Amistad National Recreation Area nehmen wir uns etwas Muße für Kakteen, blühende Yucca und Akazien sowie weitere uns unbekannte Blumen und blühende Sträucher im staubtrockenen Karst.
Blossoms in the karst
As we travel through the south of the USA, we are constantly amazed by the unfamiliar vegetation. After the exotic swamps in Georgia and Florida, Texas presents itself with very dry areas. In the Amistad National Recreation Area, we take some time to enjoy the cacti, flowering yucca and acacias as well as other flowers and flowering shrubs unknown to us in the dust-dry karst.
