Huang Shan ist eines der Top-Reiseziele für Chinesen. Außer ihnen sind hier insbesondere Koreaner, aber auch ein paar Europäer und Amerikaner. Für die Einheimischen gibt es hier oben noch einen Mythos. Inzwischen ist er auch an anderen Orten überall auf der Welt verbreitet, aber wohl selten so geballt wie hier: Als Versprechen gegenseitiger Treue bringen Paare Vorhängeschlösser an den Ketten der Absperrungen an und werfen die Schlüssel weg. Es gibt dafür spezielle Schlösser in Form zweier Herzen und sogar eine entsprechende Skulptur.

Huang Shan is one of the top travel destinations for Chinese. Apart from them, there are Koreans, but also a few Europeans and Americans. For the natives there is still another myth up here. Meanwhile it has spread to other places all over the world, but rarely as agglomerate as here. As a promise of mutual faithfulness, couples bring padlocks to the chains of the barriers and throw away the keys. There are special locks in the form of two hearts and even a corresponding sculpture.
