85 Tage nach unserer Ankunft verlassen wir Island in Seyðisfjörður wieder. Hier ist unweit des Fähranlegers ein großer Stellplatz für Camper, gebührenfrei, sogar mit vielen Stromanschlüssen. Dort haben wir vor der Abreise übernachtet und hatten so morgens keine lange Anfahrt. Die MF Norröna bringt uns nach Tórshavn auf den Färöern. Die See ist erstaunlich ruhig und die Überfahrt somit angenehm.
Die Färöer bestehen aus 18 Inseln, die alle hoch aufragen und steil zum Meer abfallen. Es gibt sehr viele Straßentunnels, einige sehr lang. Um in die zweitgrößte Stadt des Landes, Klaksvík, auf der Insel Borðoy im Nordosten zu kommen, müssen wir durch einen mautpflichtigen Tunnel unter dem Atlantik. Für die Maut wird sogar etwas Besonderes geboten: An der tiefsten Stelle des Tunnels gibt es eine Art farbiger Lightshow.

85 days after our arrival we leave Iceland again at Seyðisfjörður. Here a large camper area is not far from the ferry terminal, free of charge, even with many electrical outlets. There we have spent the night before the departure and thus had no long approach in the morning. The MF Norröna brings us to Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands.
The Faroes consist of 18 islands which rise high and fall off precipitously to the sea. There are many road tunnels, some very long. To get to the second largest town of the country, Klaksvík, on the island Borðoy in the north-east, we have to go by a toll tunnel under the Atlantic. For the toll even something special is offered: At the bottom of the tunnel there is a sort of coloured lightshow.
Klaksvík ist die Fischereihauptstadt der Färöer. Entsprechend liegen einige größere Fangschiffe im Hafen. Als Frau Rumkommer (Krim) entdeckt, dass fast alle ihre Initialen KG und eine Nummer tragen, beginnt sie „ihre Flotte“ fotografisch zu dokumentieren. An der Ortseinfahrt der Fischerei-Stadt steht ein überdimensionaler Angelhaken als Skulptur. Eine weitere, spektakuläre Skulptur ist die Frau, die mit der Länge ihres Körpers zwei Felsen auf Abstand hält.

Klaksvík is the fishing capital of the Faroes. Accordingly some bigger fishing boats lie in the harbour. When Mrs Rumkommer (Krim) realizes that almost all of them carry her initials KG and a number, she starts documenting photographically „her fleet“. At the entrance of the fishing town a colossal fishhook stands as a sculpture. A farther, spectacular sculpture is the woman holding two rocks on distance with the length of her body.
